I began my musical education during the childhood. After two years spent learning piano and music theory in Molfetta, I started studying organ and musical composition with Prof. Enzo Filacaro at Niccolò Piccinni State Music Conservatory of Bari, as well as harpsichord, figured bass and chamber music with Prof. Vera Alcalay.
In 2016, I received a M.Mus. degree with honors from this conservatory and, between 2016 and 2017, I attended there advanced courses in improvisation, church music, Gregorian chant and composition.
I also studied organ, harpsichord and continuo with Prof. Michael Radulescu (Hochschule für Musik und Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy”, Leipzig), Prof. Liuwe Tamminga (Accademia Italiana per Organo, Pistoia), Prof. Gaetano Magarelli (Conservatory Foggia), Prof. Christian Rieger (Folkwang Universität der Künste, Essen), Prof. Ton Koopman (Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra & Choir), specializing in historically informed performance, particularly with regard to German, Italian and French keyboard music from 17th-18th century.
Since 2012, I carry on an intense international concert activity as a soloist or accompanist and continuo player in ensembles, orchestras and choirs. Among others, I worked for Fondazione Lirico Sinfonica Petruzzelli e Teatri di Bari (IT), Bochumer Orgeltage (DE), Orgel 4U Tongeren (BE), etc.
In 2017, I recorded with Coro Giovanile Pugliese and Orchestra delle Magna Grecia (dir. Luigi Leo) the CD “Il Paese dei Barocchi”, with music by early Apulian composers. The CD has been present at Wiener Musikverein in December 2017.
I also won prizes in international organ and harpsichord competitions, among others: 1st prize Vitti International Organ Competition Castellana Grotte (2012), 2nd prize Landowska International Harpsichord Competition Ruvo di Puglia (2013), 3rd prize Abbado Organ Competition Perugia (2015). In 2022, I received a scholarship from the German State Minister for Culture and Media in support of my musical activity.
I also worked as church musician: between 2012 and 2017, I have been principal organist, choir conductor and music director at San Domenico Catholic Parish in Molfetta (IT), and from 2018 to 2019 organist and choir conductor at Katholische Kirchengemeinde Christus unser Friede in Aachen (DE).
I am artistic director of “Melficta Baroque”, a music and culture festival in Molfetta with a special focus on baroque music.
Between 2014 and 2016, I worked as a répétiteur, as well as a teaching assistent for music perfomance and composition at Niccolò Piccinni State Music Conservatory of Bari. Moreover, I taught piano and music theory at BAMS music school Bochum between 2021 and 2022.
Currently, I am carrying out a musicological research on Italian “partimenti” which will end with the publication of a critical edition and a CD recording of some musical works by Francesco Durante (1684 -1755) and Nicola Sala (1713 – 1801).
Besides early and classical music, I also enjoy contemporary music (Arvo Pârt and Steve Reich in particular) and electronic music.
